UGES

On April 17, sixth grade visited American Family Field for Weather Day. As part of this special educational day, students were presented a lesson by CBS 58 Weather Meteorologists on severe weather awareness with demonstrations highlighted by video and sound effects. Following the weather day presentation, students attended a science fair on the field and around the stadium featuring Discovery World, The Milwaukee Public Museum, The National Weather Service and We Energies.  Students had a chance to meet CBS 58 Weather Meteorologists and give a weather forecast in front of the green screen, visit the rocket launch demo, and make sundial slap bracelets.  There were also special appearances by Bernie Brewer and the Johnsonville Racing Sausages.  After the Weather Day presentation, students enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers vs. the San Diego Padres while enjoying a free hot dog, water and other concessions.  It was a great day for our sixth graders!
