UGES Hosts An Amazing Veterans Day Assembly!

On Friday, November 10, UGES honored Veterans at a fantastic Veterans Day Assembly.  Well over a 100 Veterans/Guests and nearly 900 students were in attendance.  Veterans were welcomed at the main entrance by our student council representatives.  The welcome and history was presented by Lucy S. (8th grade) and Vincent C. (8th).  The Pledge of Allegiance was led by student council representatives  Jaxon B. (8th) and Colt D. (8th).  The 7th/8th Grade Band performed the "Star Spangled Banner" and the "Armed Forces Medley."  The 7th/8th grade choir performed “American Tears” and our 3rd graders sang  “This is my Country and American Dream.”  Special guest, Army Veteran, Martin McGee, was our outstanding guest speaker.  It was a morning that all in attendance greatly enjoyed.  We thank our Veterans for joining us on this special day!
