On Thursday, December 14 the 5th-8th grade Winter Band Concert took place with a great crowd on hand in the UGES Large Gym to enjoy the festivities.
The evening began with the fifth grade band performing several songs including "A Mozart Melody," "London Bridge," and a holiday favorite, "Jingle Bells." Sixth grade continued the evening with "Sleigh Ride," "Welcome Christmas," and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."
The seventh/eighth grade band played three selections: "Minka's Sleigh Ride," "White Christmas," and the "Nutcracker Suite Petite." The Jazz Band concluded the evening with "Jingle Bell Rock," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and "Deck the Hall."
A BIG "Thank You" to Ms. Nehm and all of the band students for working hard over the past couple of months to put together a spectacular performance. A special thank you to all of the parents and families of our Union Grove Elementary School students for encouraging and supporting your children in their musical endeavors.
