Extreme Science Team Returns from Monterey, California

The UGES Extreme Science Team has returned from a phenomenal week where they visited Monterey, California from January 28-February 2.  Students had an experience of a lifetime as they participated in marine and coastal studies, learned about wildlife and conservation and were involved in other fun activities such as kayaking and hiking.  A special "thank you" to the advisors Mrs. Marshall and Mr. Topercer as well as Union Grove High School student leaders Max R. and Lexi M. for leading our Extreme Science Team the entire week.  

Congratulations to the following students who were selected through a rigorous application process this past fall and who eventually became a part of the 2023-24 UGES Extreme Science Team:  6th Grade - Ella R., Jax E., Annabel G., Rylee K., 7th Grade - Aubrey B., Lila E., Ada S., Aubrey B., Lauren S., Sophia S., Avery W., 8th Grade - Addisyn H., Brooklyn K., Piper L., Easton M., and Bailey R.

6th-8th grade students who are interested in being a part of the Extreme Science Team for next year can be considered this coming fall when the 2024-2025 application process details are announced.
