The UGES Boys Basketball A-Team finished their season last night exactly the same way they began two months ago...WITH ANOTHER VICTORY. No one knew how special of a season it was going to be when the team began on December 19 with a victory over the Randall Wildcats at the Union Grove Elementary School Large Gymnasium. The team had high hopes from day one and they certainly delivered. Two months later, Coach Penzel and the boys are celebrating because they have been crowned the 2023-24 Conference Champions as they recorded their final victory of the season with a 61-29 win over the Yorkville Rams in the conference championship game that was held at UGES on February 8. As a result, the UGES Boys Basketball A team completed their season undefeated with 23 wins and 0 losses which also included 3 tournament championships along the way. Wow! What an amazing accomplishment!
