Mark your calendars for not one, but TWO awesome upcoming events at UGES. On Friday, March 15 student council will be hosting a "Movie Night" for UGES students/families and on Friday, April 12 PTO presents the very popular "VIP Dance" for 4K-8th grades.

Family Fun Night is only ONE week away! A few more volunteers are needed to help collect tickets for games and hand out prizes from 5-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-8:00 p.m. next Friday, February 23. It was an awesome spirit week! A few more pictures to cap off a fun-filled week from Ms. Ninneman's (Kindergarten), Ms. Callewaert's (2nd grade), Mr. Topercer's (5th grade) and Ms. Storm-Voltz's (4K) classes. A big thank you to Student Council for organizing a fun Valentine Spirit Week for students and staff.

Just a friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 16 due to a scheduled staff development day. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, February 19 when school resumes. Have a fantastic weekend!

On Thursday, February 22nd, all of our 5th - 8th grade students will travel by bus from Union Grove Elementary to Union Grove High School in order to take part with other local schools in hearing a presentation from nationally acclaimed speaker, John O’Leary.  This presentation is sponsored by the Go Frank Go Foundation of Union Grove.  John is scheduled to speak with our students from 9:00 to 10:30.  Please note that this will be a normal school day for all students with no change to our start/end times, pick up/drop, or our hot/cold lunch programs.  John's individual story is very inspirational!  John was involved in a traumatic fire that burned 100% of his body when he was just 9 years old.  John's presentation will touch on the significance of our daily attitudes, the power of gratitude, and the impact of serving others with courage.  This is sure to be an excellent experience and learning opportunity for all of our 5th-8th grade students.  There is also a community presentation that evening open to the public.  For more information on his evening community presentation please review the attached document.  If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to contact me.  Have a great evening! Good luck to our 7th grade students, Jackson F., Brooke K., Sands R., and Olivia P. who are attending the Science Immersion Program at UW-Whitewater today.

Good Luck to the UGES Competitive Cheer Team! They will be participating in a cheer competition at Riverview Elementary School (300 E. Prosser Street, Silver Lake, WI. 53170) tomorrow, Saturday, February 10. The U.G. Cheer Team is scheduled to perform at 11:15 a.m. Come on out and support the team! Good luck girls!

Tuesday, February 13th is Twin Tuesday, Wednesday, February 14th is Red/Pink Day and Thursday, February 15th is Dress Like a Gym Teacher. UGES Students and Staff will be having a blast all week long.

7th & 8th grade volleyball tryouts will be this coming Monday, February 12 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Girls will be in the large gym and boys in the small gym.
