It was a great day for 6th grade yesterday as they traveled to American Family Field to watch the Milwaukee Brewers game and participate in "Weather Day" at the ballpark. Check out the "News" section on the UGES Website for more details about what the students were up to while on their field trip.

The Aladdin Jr. Cast and Crew are so excited for their performances this coming weekend, April 19-20. It's going to be a spectacular show! UGES will be celebrating Earth Week next week (April 22-26). Room 104 Kindergarteners were getting ready for Earth Day by decorating grocery bags for Piggly Wiggly that will be used for customers groceries. Great job kindergarten!

It's "Pony Pride Day" tomorrow! So many great things are happening around UGES. The UGES musical, Aladdin Jr., the start of the track season, the UGES Art Show, many field trips, great learning experiences in the classrooms and a phenomenal groups of students, teachers and staff who work at UGES! Let's not forget about all of the fantastic UGES families and friends who support their student(s) and UGES each and everyday. All great reasons to celebrate! Will Mr. Hansen be working from the roof of the school soon? UGES - There are only 8 days left before the "Student Council Food Drive" ends. Right now, Mr. Hansen is sitting in his office thinking he won't have to spend an entire day on the roof of UGES. Let's all team up and see if we can get enough food brought in by next Friday, April 26. We need 8 more barrels of food! Food items can be dropped off by the main office entryway. WE CAN DO THIS!

5th grade has returned from camp! It sure looks like they had FUN! A special thank you to the 5th grade teachers, UGES Staff and all of the Union Grove High School student leaders who attended camp with the students this year to help make this a memorable experience for them. "Aladdin Jr. T-shirt Day" is Tomorrow (Or Wear Purple) - It's finally here!!! Everyone around UGES is so excited for the cast and crew this week as they prepare for opening night for the UGES Musical, Aladdin Jr. It's been several years since there has been a musical at UGES. We are so excited that musicals are back. Let's show our support one last time to our amazing cast, crew and directing team who have put in countless hours of practice by wearing our Aladdin Jr. t-shirts or purple tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17. Union Grove High School is offering a Strength and Conditioning program this summer for current 8th grade students who will be attending Union Grove High School in Fall of 2024. It will take place from 7:30-9:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday from June 10th to July 18th. No class on July 3rd and 4th. If your student is interested, you may want to consider signing them up ASAP because this program is limited to 60 participants. It will be on a first come, first serve basis. Day #1 was amazing at Camp Timber-lee. Horseback riding, leather crafting, archery and canoeing was a ton of fun for our 5th graders. Get ready for another fantastic day tomorrow!

There are only 17 tickets available for the Saturday, April 20th 1:00 p.m. performance and 37 tickets for the Saturday, April 20th 6:00 p.m. show! Only FIVE Days to opening night. When you stop by for the performance this weekend, be sure to check out the cast and crew "Bio Boards" on the windows by the K-4 cafeteria. They are awesome!

Activity Night Information for 5th-8th Grades - The third and final activity night for the year has been rescheduled for next Friday, April 26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The popular 3-on-3 basketball tournament is still taking place which has a separate sign up sheet that is attached to the permission slip. Parents/guardians, your student will be bringing home a NEW activity night permission form in the next couple of days. If your student plans to attend, please sign the permission form and have them return it to their homeroom teacher or the main office by next Tuesday, April 23 by 3:30 p.m. SPECIAL NOTE: Permission slips that were turned in for the March activity night are no longer valid, so a new one must be turned in for this event. The activity night planning committee is looking forward to a lot of students showing up for what promises to be another fun-filled evening of activities!

The "UGES Track Team" kicks off their season this Friday, April 19 with the "Feeder Meet" at Union Grove High School beginning at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 for adults. Kids under 12 are free. Have FUN and good luck PONIES!

LOST AND FOUND - UGES Families - There are plenty of lost and found items that have accumulated over the past month. If your student is missing clothing, water bottles or lunch bags, please have them check the lost and found items that are located on the tables outside the nurses office (by the K-4 cafeteria) by 3:00 p.m. this Thursday, April 18!

Our friends from 5th grade just boarded the bus and are on their way to Camp Timber-lee. What a picture perfect day to be outside enjoying camp! Hope you all have a great couple of days having fun 5th grade!

The "AG Literacy Assembly" was so much fun for UGES students today. Thank you to all of the Union Grove High School FFA students who joined us to make this such a cool event.
